What it does

  • Every room, or every kind of room

Each room on its own, or three identical doubles that sell until they are gone. A family can book two at once and pay once.

  • One night or a fortnight

A shortest stay for each room, your arrival and leaving times, and the nights you close for yourself.

  • Breakfast your way

Say breakfast is included, or offer it as an extra by the person and the night. Guests see every charge before they pay.

  • A price for one guest

Say how much less a night one person pays for a double, and Coble takes it off each night they book, seasonal prices included.

  • In step with Booking.com and Airbnb

Coble reads their calendars, so a room booked there comes off sale here, and they can read yours.

  • Paid straight to you

Card payments go into your own Stripe account: all at booking, or a deposit and the rest before they arrive.

How it starts

  1. 1

    Set up your rooms

Photographs, how many each sleeps, and what a night costs.

  2. 2

    Connect Stripe

So guests can pay you. It takes about ten minutes, and the money is yours from then on.

  3. 3

    Share your link

On your website, your social media and your emails — and in the Coble directory once we have had a look.

Questions owners ask

Does Coble take commission on my bookings?

No. You pay a monthly or yearly subscription set by how many rooms you let, from £15 a month, and Coble takes nothing from your room price. Guests pay you directly, into your own Stripe account; those who book online pay a small Coble Guest Service Fee on top, which is Coble’s, and card payments carry Stripe’s usual card fee.

Can I let rooms rather than a whole house?

Yes. Set up each room on its own, or one kind of room with how many you have, such as three identical doubles: Coble sells them until they are gone, and never more than you have.

What about breakfast?

Say in each room’s description that breakfast is included, or offer it as an extra priced by the person and the night, which guests add when they book. Every charge is in the price before they pay.

Can I charge less when one person takes a double?

Yes. Say how much less a night one guest pays, and when one person books the room Coble takes it off every night of their stay, seasonal prices included. They see the lower price before they pay.

I already take bookings through Booking.com. Can I keep it?

Yes — keep it for the nights it fills. Coble reads Booking.com and Airbnb calendars, so a room booked there comes off sale here, and they can read Coble’s. Every direct booking is one you pay no commission on.

Can I still take bookings over the phone?

Yes. A phone booking goes into the same calendar, you are told the price as you type, and the guest is emailed the same confirmation they would get booking online.
